Kai Qi is a close ally of Chinese President Xi. He served under Xi Jinping in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces. Earlier this year, he led the organization of the Winter Olympics in Beijing during the Corona pandemic.
Another party member, Ding Xuexiang, began his political career at a government research center in Shanghai. Appointed personal secretary to Xi Jinping in 2007. Li Shing is also on the list. He was the leader of the Communist Party in Yanan, a politically important city in China. International media say that this is the first time in the 25-year history of the party that no woman has been appointed to the committee. Prime Minister Li Keqiang has been excluded.
